Through these services individuals have access to a wide variety of evidence-based curricula that helps to support the person’s physical, mental, social and legal issues associated with substance abuse. The group services offer opportunities to heal and develop life skills, healthy behaviors and relationships. Their standardized assessment process helps to identify those in need of services and to create a personalized treatment plan. Tehama County offers a range of essential services, including drug and alcohol education, screening, and assessment. The program provides outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment, featuring gender-specific and co-occurring substance use and behavioral health treatment groups. Care coordination and recovery support are integral components, along with dual diagnosis community support groups, ensuring a holistic approach to recovery.

Tehama County CA Government Substance Use Prevention. Our mission is to empower youth to make healthy choices and resist social pressures to drink alcohol and use other drugs. Substance use can lead to chronic illness such as heart disease and diabetes. It also has far reaching effects on individual health, family and community, so preventing drug and alcohol use has to start early. Tehama County Substance Use Recovery Center provides a variety of programs that focus on preventing substance use amongst our youth. Tehama County Substance Use Recovery Center works in collaboration with Tehama County Department of Education Drug Free Communities to support these activities. School-based student-driven activities, where students identify projects that promote pro-social behavior and/or the prevention of drug and alcohol use. Examples of past projects include video and poster production of students sharing how drugs and alcohol have impacted their lives. The completed projects are used to educate the community and encourage other students to stay drug and alcohol free.

Tehama County Northern California Fellowship of Alcoholics Anonymous. In the counties of Shasta, Tehama, Siskiyou, and Trinity in California, Northern California Intergroup thrives with the united support of A.A. groups. Dedicated to aiding groups in their shared goal of conveying the A.A. message to those still battling alcoholism, this intergroup serves a vital role in facilitating common functions among all participating Alcoholics Anonymous groups. Covering a four-county area, the intergroup provides essential AA services, including a 24-hour hotline, Volunteer and Professional Answering Service, Twelve Step Calls, distribution of literature (books, tapes, and pamphlets), an active website, and active involvement in Public Information and Professional Community Outreach. Sustained by voluntary contributions, its primary focus remains on extending the message of AA to individuals in the grip of alcoholism.
