Humboldt County’s substance use disorder (SUD) treatment program offers outpatient and intensive outpatient treatment. SUD treatment services are designed to empower participants to develop the self-awareness and personal motivation needed to make positive and permanent changes in their lives. Humboldt County Programs for Recovery assists individuals who are experiencing substance use problems that are impacting their physical health, interpersonal relationships or causing employment or legal issues. We provide SUD treatment to Medi-Cal beneficiaries who meet medical necessity for outpatient and intensive outpatient levels of care. The Wellness & Recovery Program encompasses seven counties: Humboldt, Lassen, Mendocino, Modoc, Shasta, Siskiyou and Solano.

The Shasta County Chemical People, Inc. is a non-profit community-based group which promotes and supports the development of a safe, strong community free from racism, violence, alcohol, tobacco and other drug abuse. A community-based youth and adult led coalition dedicated to reducing the incidents of driving under the influence of alcohol and other related drugs among the youth and adults of Shasta County. SCCP Sponsors multiple other community-based programs including: Real DUI Courts in Schools, Drug Store Events, Red Ribbon Week, Every 15 Minute Programs, Marijuana Task Force, Meth Task Force, Opioid Coalition, and youth-led Town Hall Meetings, Social Host policy, and conferences and seminars.

Shasta County CA Winterfest Alcoholics Anonymous. Shasta Winterfest is weekend-long gathering of fellow members and nonmembers of Alcoholics Anonymous and Al-Anon/Alateen. The event is inspired by recovery and filled with guest speakers, marathon meetings, literature and other resources, merchandise, special events, and a prize drawing. Since there are no dues or fees for AA/Al-Anon membership, you may wonder why you may have to pay to attend this conference. An AA/Al-Anon conference is a special event and not an AA/Al-Anon meeting. Conferences may include AA/Al-Anon meetings for the benefit of those attending. A conference, unlike a regular meeting, requires months of preparation and incurs many dollars of expenses, most of which are paid in advance. Registration fees (if applicable) cover some of the expense for items such as the rental of the facility, transportation, meals and lodging for our speakers, insurance, printing, postage, and supplies.
